The Minister called for stronger policies and education focused on digital ethics and responsible online behavior. As a public servant, she reiterated her unwavering commitment to her role, particularly in advocating for the rights and well-being of women, children, and vulnerable groups in Fiji.

Tabuya urged both the public and the media to uphold the values of dignity, privacy, and the rule of law. She also confirmed that the matter has been referred to the relevant authorities for a thorough investigation, and she expects those responsible to be held accountable.

Despite the personal nature of the issue, Tabuya assured the public that she would not be distracted from her duties. She encouraged individuals to reflect on the importance of protecting people from digital harm and fostering a culture of respect and responsibility.

Drawing a connection to the Christmas season, Tabuya reminded Fijians of the challenges faced by Jesus, who endured accusations and mockery with grace and compassion. She urged people to use this time of year to support one another and teach children the values of kindness and respect.

Tabuya also extended forgiveness to those behind the video but expressed confidence that the legal system will address the matter appropriately. She thanked her family, colleagues, and the wider community for their continued support and encouraged anyone dealing with similar issues to seek help through the proper channels.

During a media briefing yesterday, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka revealed that he had written to Tabuya in the morning, requesting clarification on the content of the video.
